The DIY Turbo Kit is designed for those with the knowledge and skills to assemble their own turbo. This is not simply a cheaper option, and it is not recommended for individuals who are not confident in their ability to build a turbo. The kit does not include instructions, and technical support will not be provided—similar to an engine rebuild kit, it is assumed that the buyer understands the assembly process.

This kit includes an upgraded cover, backing plate, and billet wheel, engineered to bolt onto any stock 6.0 turbo. The GTX-style billet wheel allows for faster spool-up and improved top-end power. It serves as a cost-effective upgrade for those seeking additional performance without purchasing or building a fully upgraded turbo. By replacing stock components with the billet wheel, cover, and backing plate, this setup supports up to 175cc injectors.

Important Notes:

• 2005-2007 turbine wheels are smaller than 2003-2004 models, leading to faster spool-up but reduced power output.
• The 64.7mm compressor wheel is not recommended for 2005-2007 turbos, as the smaller turbine wheel cannot properly support it.
• For those looking for the iconic 2003 whistle, an upgraded 10-blade turbine wheel can be added to any 2004-2007 turbo (2003 turbos already come equipped with one).
• It is highly recommended to include a rebuild kit for those planning to refresh their turbo during installation.
